Audi A6 3.0 TDi Key Ignition Problem

Hi,

Today came in mine garage an Audi A6 4F 3.0TDi with the following problem.
I put key in ignition (normal metal blade key) and turn it on, but Dash Display, ESL, Radio, Navi Display all are OFF.
I think that the 4F0909131E is broken.
Anyone can help me with Pinout for this unit to test it on bench? Someone had this problem?
All relays and fuses are ok.

Skoda Octavia MK2 2006 Driver Window Issue

I wondering if anyone can help, my 2006 MK2 Octavia front driver window got stuck halfway the other day, although all other windows work via the drivers window controls.
So removed door card ect and investigated, checked for power to the motor with multimeter, all is well there,visually checked for chaffed/broken wires, everything looks intact, couple minor chaffs so tapped them up, next checked the wires in rubber boot in door jam, same there couple of minor chaffs, taped up, still drivers window wont function, all other windows fine, next I swapped the complete switch unit from my Octavia with my partners MK5 Golf, all buttons function with my switches with the Golf, so now I'm stuck, so I buy a second hand motor and module, expecting that to solve the trouble, it was a no go, the part I bought has same part number and only last letter is a J, and my cars original ends with a H, the unit i bought doesn't even seem to be seen at all by the car, the window lock switch light does not illuminate at all or anything function when connected, would it need to be coded because the last letter of part number different? I would have thought the letter would just mean a newer revision and work merely just connecting it.

Anyone got any ideas how I can proceed to fix my problem?

Audi Q7 2011 3.0 CJG DPF Regen Option Missing Issue

I had been called out because someone told me all the DPF options in his Snap-On Solus Ultra for this vehicle vanished after Snap-On updated his Solus.

In the end it appears nothing is actually wrong with the actual DPF, may be a intermittent fault with pressure sensor (or even wiring/ECU). Car previously had code for pressure sensor short circuit, but this did not reoccur while I was with it, even after test drive.

However with ODIS S 2.2.6, I only found option to teach in DPF parameters after DPF/Pressure Sensor/ECU replacement, no options for Standing/Driving Regen.

My initial suspicion is that the engine may be "tuned" but I could find all live data parameters with sensible values, I found pressing accelerator made DPF pressure value rise sensibly (I think was approx. 30mbar at 2000rpm off memory), and I could see car had used approx. 70 litres of fuel since last regen, so I was happy the car has still got DPF, DPF not blocked, and it is still trying to regen when needed.

However just for interest, I plugged an old VCDS clone (V12.12.0) and I found option for Service Regen while Driving.

Car has not been into Audi for any recall about emissions as far as we know.

So has anyone got any idea why Snap-On with 2016 update and ODIS S from early this year/late last year does not offer regen function, but 2-3 year old VCDS clone has got the option?

Seat Leon 2006 2.0 FSi NON Start

This one appears to have been a problem for a while been to various workshops.
2006 Seat Leon 2.0 FSi wont start and has been playing up for a while now.

Faults found:
P2147 Fuel injector group a short to ground mil on
P2150 Fuel injector group b short to ground mil on
P1528 Camshaft timing adj bank1 open circuit mil on (which I think came from cranking to long)

It had the same faults before and went to VW had a relay replaced and was OK for 11 months now its back I have checked all fuses checked the loom connections all good and it started and ran fine for 20 mins with no fault codes turned it off for 10 mins now wont start again...

Also the brake lights come on or flicker when cranking...

VW Golf V Battery Power Lost

Hello AP members,

I want to put a Radio RDS310 in a Volkswagen Golf V with originally a RDS300 from factory.
Now I know that this gives some trouble concerning voltage drop from battery.
I heard that it is possible to reprogramm the gateway to avoid the power loss of the battery.
Somebody here has some experience on this issue or is it?

Audi A4 2016 New Radio Programming Issue

I'm trying to setup brand new radio for 2016 Audi A4. It is located in left rear in the car and original radio was damaged in accident. I'm using ODIS Online, whatever steps in test plan, I have followed but CP wont remove. CD and Flash card working good but when I play radio it sounds for few second and sound off then on. Keep doing this. Odis software support said I have full GEKO access and check the repair manual. I checked ElsaWIN but no info. Can some body explain the process to finish this job. Online coding is done as following test plan.
Error massage is "No valid and accepted key is detected, the function test can not be continued" this massage come up even before I log on line for GEKO.

Strange problem, have no idea where to start.
Auto scan does not work, see attachment not all modules visible, on scan radio works but also not visible.
Power windows work only when brake pedal pressed or brake switch disconnected, changing brake switch does not help.
Cant get proper diagram from Alldata and Mitchell, does not cover since its Canadian model.

Skoda Octavia 2006 1.9 TDi Strange Sound From Engine Bay

Hi.
I wonder if anyone can advise me on a problem that's occurred to my motor 1.9 TDi Octavia 2006, over the last couple of days engine is idling perfect, no knocking or erratic from the engine and sounds sweet, but if you rev the car to about 1800 rpm, get a strange and very loud sort of rasping/resonating from the left hand sound of engine bay, around the EGR, boost pipe, timing belt casing area, been under car today to check for exhaust leaks and boost pipe leaks ect, everything is seated nice and not even a bit of weeping around the boost pipes, cant find visually or by feel any exhaust leakage, felt around the EGR cooler for leaking all seems well there, got a friend to block exhaust at tail pipes whilst I was under hoping to find a blow, there doesn't seem to be any leakage no fault codes, minimal loss of performance, fuel consumption is as expected, no oil excessive loss/leaks, no water loss or leaks, car boosting normally and no oils misting at all around the turbo area also, no smoke at all, really not sure how to move forward now to find the issue and what and how to check next.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello friends.
I have VW Touran 2.0 TDi from 2009 year, 170 HP.
The case is that the longer the car is no used the harder is to start engine.
After 2-3 days it is about 5 sec trying with starter to start engine.
There is no any DTC in engine ECU.
Please for any suggestions.

Audi A3 2007 2.0 TDi Cutting OFF After Accelerating

I have an Audi A3 2007 2.0 TDi 170 bhp BMN engine code which occasionally flags EGR or port runner DTC (not always) the problem is only from cold and within 400 yards on acceleration it cuts out just like the ignition is switched off but if you release the accelerator pedal it wont cut out the rev counter does fluctuate quite a bit (I'm thinking is a power fault anyway) after 15 seconds of hucking and jerking it stops and runs normally for the rest of the day and wont do it again until its cold (4 or more hours).

I have swapped fusebox with a known runner including the relay unplugged the throttle flap and the EGR still no different VCDS wont log it because I have to start the engine then start logging by the time I've done all that it doesn't do it...

Hello guys.

I know that you have much knowledge in repairing VAG group so please help me. Could you help me with Audi A4 from 2008 Year (B8) 2.0 TDi?

Car is after crash and customer has changed ABS unit and now there is DTC from Coding. There was 8K0907379BJ before and now is 8K0614517EJ. Could you help me with code it? I have VCDS, Delphi and FVDI clone.

Another thing is they didn't have sunroof and now they had installed it and want me to code it to work in comfort module would you help me? Mostly I do Hyundai and KIA and no such a new cars from VAG group.

And last one. Please tell me how to add TPMS sensor if I mount one new?

Kindly please for help.

Need help on this car, cylinders number 2 and 3 are misfiring.
New coils were changed yet still, you can remove the 2 and 3 and hold but you won't get shock, the shock of spark which comes is very little that it can't shock enough like 1 and 4...
So I seek to know why the 2 & 3 is not giving enough shock even though all the coils are new?

I do NOT need help, I repaired this vehicle!
Proof of concept and how I solve the customer issues:
History and background:
This customer contacted me because of other shops knowing my reputation. These other shops performed very poor work and this customer spent lots of money for nothing. This vehicle came to him as a used purchase to either keep or sell.

Parts replaced form other shops:
Ignition coils (used)
Oil pan (new)
Turbo charger (used)
Throttle body (used)
Radiator (used)
Right headlamp assembly (used)

The first scan was an investigation of what faults were currently stored within the network After that first scan, faults were deleted and scanned again with an estimate for repairs. I noticed some steam coming from the radiator when the cooling fans engaged the engine did run rough and misfired with RPM increase. The customer also discussed the high beam circuit incorrectly operating and high beams would not engage with the manual switch. Once the customer had the money, the vehicle was authorized to repair.

Next step and before any repairs began, another complete scan and acquired pre-labels to be converted from encrypted to readable text as a better build and adding the missing pieces into the data stream.

Parts I replaced:
G26 crank position sensor
Oil separator on valve cover
New radiator

Noticed from the previous repairs, some of the harness (loom) connection locks were damaged or missing. The customer is now aware of the earlier poor workmanship and new oil leak developed at the rear of the vacuum pump (cylinder head)
Those connections are:
The MAF
The Turbo boost sensor
The HVAC pressure sensor
The ignition coil connections (4)
All plastic shells above require replacement.

After completed (authorized) repairs, adaptations and basic settings were performed and successful. This direct injection engine runs quite well now.

The last complaint was the high beam circuit that would not operate with:
The key on and engine running
The light switch in the normal (on) position

Tools used:
Legitimate VCDS with new labels created
ODIS service as a test
ODIS engineering to measure for flash updates (non required)
Oscilloscope
ElsaWin

So my question to any member that wants to “think” about this last question. How and what is the procedure to test and possibly repair the high beam lighting complaint?

With enough answers I will post the final solution and final scan.

Here is a chance to learn, set a standard and reverse engineer this vehicle with all the other VAG group posts that are missing important details.

Audi A5 2011 2.7 TDi Steering Lock Defective

Hi mates.

I have an issue with a 2011 Audi A5. The car was damaged in the front side, the steering rack was damaged too.
I need to start the car but it doesn't put ignition on.
On dashboard it says "Do not drive vehicle, steering defective".

The error that came up with VCDS is:
02811 - Control module for Electronic Steering Column Lock (J764)
014 - Defective - MIL ON

I removed the steering column lock, i opened it and did some tests.
In any position i put it, if i erase the fault codes, the steering lock makes a cycle and always remains unlocked, but still no ignition on.
If anyone can give me an idea or can give me an advice, i would really appreciate.

VW Golf Plus 5 2.0 8V TDi DTC P0546

I need some help for Golf5 Plus 2.0 8V TDi.
Engine Code BMM, year 06.2008, 124378KM.
Error Code is: P0546 Exhaust gas temperature probe 1 Bank 1, Circuit faulty/Signal too high.
Sonde is new! Error Code delete and you can drive, and the lamp stay off!
But in the morning (12 Hours later) if you strart car the lamp going on!
If i look on the parameters, i can see the Temp (Ca. 128°) and Volt (0,5V) headbang
I don't understand this! angry
How can solve this? Please help and thanks.

VW Golf MK 5 GTi DSG Issues

Guys, I am working on this Golf MK5 GTi. It has no forward or reverse gears. Please view the attached VCDS logs.
The first log is a full vehicle readout while the second is just the transmission and Identification of control unit.

Audi A8 2011 NVLD Pressure Switch

I have a client that received a letter from Audi, a portion of which I have attached.
I have not found any tech bulletins in Mitchel or other aftermarket systems.
Does anybody have this TSB with the specific codes for this?
I would hate to get too involved only to find that he could get it done under warranty.

Audi A6 (4F) Failed Auto Gearbox Flash

History is that car was working perfectly except ac/heater fan had failed.

I was asked to look at this and found the LIN bus for AC was being dragged down by a faulty AC pressure sensor.

However workshop owner (who previously owned this car) was begging me to update all control units if possible as car is now owned by a friend of his who is planning to export it to a relative next week on Friday. didn't really want to flash controllers without a reason, but I could understand his point of view that if it didn't happen now, the car would never have a chance to be updated again and he was almost begging me so I thought I would do it.

Only updates I could find were for 02-Auto Gearbox, 17-Dashboard, 19-Gateway, and 61-Battery Regulation.

Gearbox update failed but all others updated fine. Tried gearbox update again after flashing 19-Gateway, also tried to reflash original firmware back which also would fail as well.

However the failed gearbox update seems to have caused a serious problem - I can still find a gearbox module and part number using various diagnostic tools, but cannot read fault codes or change coding. Even though I can still connect to gearbox ECU via diag tools, or to try and reflash using ODIS-E, I cannot move gear lever anymore (stuck in P unless using emergency override), and many other modules (e.g. Engine, Parking Brake, ABS, etc.) have faults stating no communication with gearbox.

Tried using two interfaces, and also tried all relevant options I could find in ODIS (e.g. reducing baud rate to minimum).

I asked a friend if he could send someone who has online access (Geko account?) for ODIS, but the person said it was likely the issue was because I used ODIS instead of VAS-PC.

However the other modules for which I could find an update worked fine using ODIS.

When I look through the logs, the only relevant error I can find is:

Result : Flashen der Datenblöcke fehlgeschlagen.


My plan is to go back on Monday with VAS PC and see if I can fix it. If not, then next idea is to call in friend of a friend who has Geko (online ODIS) account, and if that doesn't work pay for dealer to fix it (which I don't really want to do as I suspect dealer will automatically decide to fit new mechatronics plate at my cost).

If anyone has any ideas I would be very very grateful for suggestions.
